Kristin Fischer will join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she has covering everything from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the growth and advent of space tourism. As the daughter of 2 NASA astronauts Kristin has a background in the industry of space. She spent the last five years covering the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. In addition to covering impeachment trials of two presidents as well as the 2020 Presidential Campaign and the two administrations' attempts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus The reporter also covered a range of other topics. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted. Prior to becoming a part of the company in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up in local TV news stations including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin made use of her experiences behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films and was a favorite of corporate clients like Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
